| FY2010 Grant | $ 6,191.00 |
| Grant Application Deadlines | When funds are accessible, the Board may award grants on a competitive basis to requests that realize one or more of the goals set forth in the Plan and result in a confirmable benefit to this County's residents and guests. The Board reserves the right to forgo any competitive grant cycle and invest funds in any single cultural activity |
| Grant Guidelines | Application and Selection Process of Funds Available
1. The Gilliam County Cultural Coalition will publicize that funds are available and that information packets can be obtained for parties interested in applying for these funds.
2. Applicants will submit grant applications for review. The grant must meet one goal, action and a measure of success.
3. All applicants will be notified of the Cultural Coalition’s decisions regarding their applications.
4. Funding Discretion: Funds may be disbursed no more than twice annually — once in the fall, and once in the spring; at the discretion of the Coalition Board. Board reserves the right to invest funds in a project it deems of cultural importance in any given fiscal year i.e. by-pass a mini-grant cycle.
5. Submittal of mini-grant applications: As Board members are associated and encouraged to be a part of various Local Arts, Heritage, and Humanities groups throughout Gilliam County it is the policy that Cultural Coalition members may not sign an application submitted to the Cultural Coalition for consideration.
6. Mini-grant application qualifications: Applications for events that take place prior to the funding decision date of any mini-grant cycle will not be considered.
7. Mini-grant funding limitations: The Cultural Coalition Board limits funding an entity’s application for a reoccurring project/events to once per fiscal year. Applications for new project/events will take precedence if availability of funds is down. Entities may submit applications for new projects more than once a year.
Review Criteria: Successful projects will demonstrate the following:
• Demonstrate artistic vision and the organization’s capacity to realistically and regularly assess its program.
• Demonstrate level of community support for the organization or program and degree of community ownership of the organization.
• Be well thought out, clearly articulated and reflect critical thinking about the grantee’s challenges and opportunities.
• Include a reasonable and appropriate budget for the proposed activity, which identifies income/revenue Sources in addition to a Coalition grant (cash and in-kind).
• Determine, in advance, the process and criteria to evaluate the project.
• Implement a minimum of one Coalition goal and help achieve at least one measure of success.
